Miami Immigration News

Today June 9th, 2011 at 1:00 pm. in the afternoon, USCIS Director Alejandro Mayorkas and colleagues from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission and the Texas Attorney General announced the launch of a multi-agency initiative to combat immigration services scams through enforcement, education and continued collaboration with federal, state and local government partners.

In particular the agencies will work together to prosecute those who

1). Abuse those that need Immigration Asssitance by pretending to be attorney's when they are in fact just a Notary Public.

2). The efforts of the three immigration agencies has already put some public notaries behind bars for the Unlawful Practice of Law among others.
